Ingredients:
Lecithin, from soybeans, is a source of phospholipids. Phospholipids have a protective and regenerative effect on hepatocytes and repair cell damage. The most important phospholipid is phosphatidylcholine, which constitutes approximately 40% of all phospholipids that form the cell membrane of hepatocytes. Phosphatidylcholine is involved in fat metabolism, protects hepatocytes and the liver in general, supports the regeneration processes of cell membranes.
Arginine is an amino acid that is not produced by the body and is involved in many metabolic processes in the liver. Its main function is the transport, accumulation and excretion of nitrogen and ammonia through the urea cycle. Arginine precedes ornithine in the urea cycle. It is finally essential in cases of metabolic stress and when a diet rich in protein is followed.
Glutamine is a non-essential amino acid that becomes conditionally essential in conditions of catabolic stress. Its main function is to provide substrates for gluconeogenesis, which takes place in the liver. It is also a precursor of ornithine and therefore plays an important role in nitrogen metabolism and helps to remove ammonia from the body, which is formed from protein metabolism.
