To support kidney function in cases of chronic kidney failure and to reduce the formation of oxalate stones. Kattovit Feline Diet - KIDNEY / Renal was specifically developed to provide cats with reduced protein content using high quality protein in a digestible formulation. High protein content can have a detrimental effect on the kidneys. The deciding factor is the protein content in relation to the amount of energy.
In contrast to conventional foods, only about half of the energy in Kattovit NIERE/Renal comes from protein. The addition of potassium citrate has an alkaline urine effect and can thus prevent the formation of oxalate crystals (oxalate prophylaxis). The phosphorus content is reduced.
